Modern Streetwear Design Case Study: Unity Block Shop
Streetwear Graphic Design Case Study:
Unity Block Shop
Unity Block Shop is the streetwear arm of NAS GraphicX Studio, combining bold apparel graphics with messages of identity, culture and resilience.
This case study explores how NAS GraphicX developed the visual concepts for Unity Block Shop’s Canada and Palestine collections and transformed those ideas into distinctive, print-ready apparel designs.
Project Overview
Brand: Unity Block Shop
Creative studio: NAS GraphicX Studio
Project type: Streetwear and apparel graphic design
Deliverables: Original graphics, typography, apparel layouts, product mockups and promotional visual.
The goal was to create meaningful streetwear that could communicate a strong message while remaining visually clear, wearable and recognizable.
The Design Challenge
Statement apparel needs to attract attention quickly. At the same time, the artwork must remain readable across different garment sizes, colours and placements.
Each collection required its own identity while still feeling like part of the same Unity Block Shop brand. The designs needed strong visual hierarchy, memorable symbols and enough contrast to work on both light and dark apparel.
Canada Collection:
Bold Graphic Messaging
The Canada collection centres on the “Canada Will Not Be the 51st” design.
NAS GraphicX combined a cracked-map graphic with distressed typography to create a rugged, assertive visual style. The design was developed to feel direct and contemporary while remaining suitable for T-shirts and promotional imagery.
The result is a statement graphic that uses scale, contrast and typography to communicate its message.
immediately.
Palestine Collection:
Roots of Resilience
The “Roots of Resilience” design uses an olive tree as its central symbol, supported by Arabic calligraphy and carefully arranged typography.
The olive tree represents heritage, endurance and connection to the land. NAS GraphicX translated this concept into a detailed back graphic, complemented by a smaller front design for a balanced apparel presentation.
Black-and-white garment variations were prepared to preserve visibility, contrast and impact across the collection.
From Concept to Apparel
The project brought together several areas of graphic design:
- Concept development and visual research
- Symbol and typography selection
- Front-and-back apparel placement
- Colour and contrast testing
- Print-ready artwork preparation
- Product mockups and promotional visuals
Every element was considered as part of a complete brand experience—not simply as an isolated T-shirt or hoodie
graphic.
The Outcome
The finished collection gives Unity Block Shop a consistent visual language across its Canada and Palestine apparel.
Each design can stand on its own while still reflecting the brand’s broader focus on identity, cultural storytelling and statement streetwear. The product mockups also provide Unity Block Shop with cohesive visuals for online listings, social media and promotional campaigns.
